Resolution for 2010 - Be Less Lazy.

I hate to admit it, but I've been kind of avoiding updating this blog. Have you ever had a task that you put off so long that finally starting it felt embarrassing? That's how this blog got for me. To break the ice and get back in the habit of posting, I am copying a poem that Andy's friend Dan wrote and then read at the funeral. (Tip of the hat to Terri D's site for posting it first: http://community-2.webtv.net/terrid2006/SubmissionsFrom/page2.html)

If a grain of wheat falls to earth and dies

The spirit takes flight to skies of times

Then falls grace like rain as they are remembered

As their bodies of death are dismembered

Clothing of glory like trillions of dimes

As sweet dreams continue and nightmares fall aside

God*s spiritual deposit is cashed out and tendered

For the eternal glory finally renders

A dream so real that isn*t pretend

No pain no sorrow and it never ends

The veil of patience and surprise is parted

And the wiles of the world are outsmarted

Every hair on his head has been counted

His soul wins the battle we never doubted

The treasures he stored up in heaven are carted

To his beautiful home to get started

On plans that will never ever fail

We say bon voyage go full sail

To the Golden Shore across the chasm

Beyond we don*t see but it*s merely a spasm

Before the moment deserts change to dales

And forests and still waters why do we wail?
